On Soap Lake’s famous East Beach, you can find the landmark “the largest human figure” sundial named “Calling The Healing Waters” which will once again be celebrated June 15-19th in a 5 day Pow Wow called “The Spirit of Soap Lake”. The Soap Lake Garden Club will be hosting the event, in a joint collaboration with the Colville Confederated Tribe, commemorating the Native American centuries long relationship with the healing waters of the lake.
The Garden Club formally extends an invitation to local and State residents, elected representatives and travelers to join the celebration and discover not only rich Native American History complete with authentic drummers and dancers, but the spiritual connection and healing properties of Smokiam, the natives ancient name for Soap Lake, which means “healing waters” and the surrounding community.
Vendors are encouraged to contact 509-246-6022 or 509-246-1865 for applications and reservations.
