A blizzard visited the Columbia Basin on November 22-23. Chuck Flint took the photos below on the morning of the 23nd. The wind was howling, bringing the temperature with wind chill factor into the single digits.

Later that same day, the winds stopped and Soap Lake was bathed in brilliant sunshine. (Do the weather people count this as one of Soap Lake's 300 days of sun?)
In spite of the bitter cold, local humans and canines venture outside for some sun and fresh air.

First Snow
Soap Lakers awoke to a skiff of snow--the first of the season--on Saturday, November 20.
