What is ESA?
It is an international philanthropic sorority.
The local chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) is Alpha Omega. We currently have 15
active members and 2 new pledges. All of us are from the Soap Lake/Ephrata area. We meet monthly during 9 months of the year.
We are a philanthropic sorority who try to help people in need, both locally and away. We have regularly given money to supportthe Soap Lake Schoolthrough the ASB program, Allied Arts who we pay to perform a children's play at the Soap Lake grade school, both Food Banks, Soap Lake Senior Center and Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation among many. We also contribute annually toour national projects: Easter Seals, M.S.,and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This year we gave a scholarship to a working mother who is attending college to advance in her chosen profession.
Through the generosity of the community who attend our Annual Auction and buy our “DELICIOUS” cheeseballs (over 4,000 to date), we have been able to donate over $67,000.00 in the last 10 years.
If you would like the names of our chapter members, please contact Shirley at 246-6240. You might be surprised, you could be their neighbor.
